Lost Stories’ first Canada 150 film, Sheldrake, will have its world premiere at FICFA on November 19 in Moncton, New Brunswick
The Lost Stories team is proud to announce the world premiere of Sheldrake as part of the Festival international du cinéma francophone en Acadie. With this poetic film, director Julien Cadieux takes us on an emotional journey tracing the little known story of people suffering from leprosy who were confined to Sheldrake Island in 1844. This astounding story is told through the artist Marika Drolet-Ferguson who reveals her creative process in the conception of a work of commemorative public art. The film is mostly in French, with English subtitles. For more details, visit the FICFA website.
